Hospitality Management Co-op Diploma Do you want a program that integrates classroom studies with a paid work placement? Do you want the opportunity to develop your hospitality career through both academic and work-place learning? Co-op is short for ‘cooperative’, as a co-op program relies on the cooperative efforts of the student, the college and an employer. The VPC Co-op Diploma gives you a chance to gain valuable, paid, work experience during your program of study. The Co-op includes four semesters of study and one semester in a co-op work placement. VPC will help you find the most suitable placement for your experience and interests. As a Co-op student, you may do the work portion of the Diploma after completing a minimum of 2 semesters (30 credits) of studies. During the Co-op work placement portion of your studies, you may find work in a hotel, resort, restaurant, spa, casino, convention centre, tourist attraction, or other hospitality related worksite. You will complete a minimum of 400 hours of work experience. Please see the Hospitality Management Diploma for more information on the set of courses.
