     Homestay Form



The following steps are designed to assist you in the application process. Please contact the college if you require further information. Homestay application procedures are explained at the end of the following.

  1. Complete an Application Form and submit it. Note: it must be accompanied by a credit card number or bank draft to which we may bill the non-refundable application fee. Local students have the option of paying the application fee by personal cheque or cash.

  2. Submit these additional documents by mail at your earliest convenience:
    • English Requirements - International Students: Official TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS results (for those students who do not have any of these results, you may take our English Proficiency Exam upon arrival at the College for a $25.00 fee).

    • Official high-school transcripts and diploma: (translated into English, if necessary), sent directly from the high school in a sealed envelope.

    • Statement of Intent: This should be a one page essay, approximately 150 words, written in English on the subject “Why I Wish to Work in the Hospitality Industry”. This can be mailed, faxed (1-604-730-1633), or e-mailed to info@vpcollege.com.

    • Proof of Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident Status (if applicable).

  3. Vancouver Premier College will issue the following:
    • Official acknowledgement of your application (this does not guarantee admission to the program)
    • A receipt for the application fee
    • Student Enrollment Contract with Statement of Fees (covering the first semester study) to be signed and returned by you

  4. You must submit the appropriate fees by wire, cheque, or credit card


  5. Upon receipt of payment, Vancouver Premier College of Hotel Management will issue a welcome letter with further information on the College, and for International Students, an official Letter of Acceptance to apply for a study permit.

  6. Upon arrival, students must submit the following:
    • Two passport photos
    • A photocopy of photo I.D.
    • A copy of your medical insurance, if you have purchased one (all students are required to obtain medical coverage during their study in Canada)

NOTE: Students may apply for and start attending classes up to two weeks past the semester start date. Any students arriving or applying after this date will NOT be able to attend classes until the next semester start date.



If you require homestay:
  1. Please visit the site www.cvihomestay.com "Canada Vancouver International Homestay (CVI)" is the agency who partners with us in finding our students excellent homes.


  2. Complete the homestay application and submit it. Your credit card will be billed $195.00 for the placement fee, plus $65.00 for airport reception, if you select it.


  3. Vancouver Premier College will issue a receipt, and forward your application to Canada Vancouver International Homestay.


  4. When the best homestay family has been selected for you, you will receive a letter with the family's name, address and phone number so you can contact them if you like.


  5. If you request airport reception, a representative from Canada Vancouver International Homestay will meet you at the airport, take you to your Canadian family, and introduce you. If you did not request airport reception, please contact your Canadian family in advance to confirm when they should expect you at their home.
